The Vector VS is designed for fast surfaces and indoor greens, having a lenient, gentle draw to the jack with no hook at the end, making it ideal for front end bowlers. Available in Heavy only in black and the full range of Taylor colours, sizes 00 to 5 See below for a more comprehensive analysis of the design, and to see the Taylor bias chart to compare models.
The Vector VS is manufactured with the Pro grip. If you compare, for example, the Drakes Pride Professional Bowl, the Taylor Vector VS and the Henselite Classic II you’ll identify a gradual progression from a grip that uses completely circular indentations (DP Professional, Vector VS Progrip), and slightly smaller abutting circles (and therefore more of them to the inch) with squared off edges (Henselite Classic II).
Finally there is the deep grooved grip. Each manufacturer has its own name for this grip style. Taylor calls it 'Xtreme', Drakes Pride 'Channel', Henselite 'Mega', Aero 'Z-Scoop'
